2 States - 2 Inns - and Twists

Do you like talking motorcycle? Are you interested in the motorcycle racing of the late 1950s and early 60s? Does gear ratio and compression excite you? Then this is the place for you! John was owner tuner of a BSA Gold Star racer (he was riding it when the tree refused to move over) and was at the track with many of the legends of that era - Carrol Resweber, Gary Nixon, Dick Mann, Dick Klamfoth, Jim Koplinski, and bought many of his parts from the legendary Bob Hansen when he was in Racine, Wisconsin. John knew many of the "legends" of motorcycle racing back in the old days. (Psst, ladies, we have a lot for you too.)

After the most restful night of sleep in a long time, the aromas wafting up the stairs have brought you awake with anticipation of a most delicious breakfast. Freshroasted, fresh-ground perked coffee and muffins are waiting for you as a before breakfast appetizer.

You know a great sport ride in two states awaits and the lunch with Kathleen's homemade bread will be just the thing to take care of the "hungries" this afternoon. The hills and turns bring breath-taking scenery into view as you top hills and round curves making this a very special get-away. The conversations with John about BSA, Triumph, and flat-track racing have whetted your appetite for the routing Kathleen has for you. Choose from several different routings for the length of ride YOU prefer - 3 hours? More? The ride culminates at aptly named, Hilltop Haven Bed & Breakfast near Toronto, Ohio where you are welcomed by Charles and Diana. (They may not be the Prince & Princess, but they treat you like royalty!) Relax in the gazebo in the evening as wildlife comes into the meadow and the sound of the waterfall soothes the soul.

After another night of peaceful sleep, you are greeted with the scrumptious breakfast Dani has prepared. Another sumptuous lunch is packed for your ride and Chuck will suggest some great routes for today's ride home. Package price is $299 plus applicable State Taxes.

BED & BREAKFAST TRAINING IN WV

Kathleen offers the seminar - A No-Nonsense Guide to Operating a Bed and Breakfast to Aspiring Innkeepers. The Seminar will be from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. and is offered as a Sunday thru Thursday 2-night Package.

In addition to discussing all aspects of being an innkeeper, Kathleen focuses of marketing. There will be a packet of materials being covered as well as a CD containing the printed material plus sample spreadsheets for important record keeping. Kathleen has been an innkeeper since opening her start-up B & B in 1996. She has taught seminars in Louisiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia on operating a bed and breakfast, marketing for lodging businesses, and cooking for guests with special dietary needs. She was Marketing Chair for MABB from 1999 to 2008. In 2006 Kathleen received the WV SBA Home-Based Business Champion of the Year.

Arrive the first night and experience being a guest at a B & B with breakfast served at 8 A.M. Class starts at 10 A.M. with a break for lunch (included). Dinner on your own. On the second morning experience preparing a guest breakfast and "flipping" a room..

"We received so much good information in this workshop. Mrs. Panek has the experiential knowledge of innkeeping and presented it very professionally. We left knowing the processes for preparation and setting up the business, the contacts we would need to make, and were given a lot of resource material that we continue to refer to in our career choice of innkeeping." Jim & Christine Hasbrouck, The Grey Swan Inn Bed and Breakfast, Blackstone, VA
