Welcome to the Gillum House Bed & Breakfast in Shinnston, West Virginia. Shinnston, although only 6+ miles from I-79, offers relaxation or activity. Hike the West Fork River Rail-Trail (or bring your horse and ride), visit the covered bridges, winery, or other places and things available in the area - the antique shops and WV craft shops are open all year. Kathleen will create a routing just for you and your interests that will give you a day of sites and activities and then bring you back to the bed & breakfast.
Awaken to the aroma of baking each morning of your stay as Kathleen makes muffins, adapted to be very low fat or fat-free (sugar-free available) for a healthy, delicious breakfast. Every attempt is made to accommodate special diet requirements. Some diets accommodated to date are: Diabetic; Lactose Intolerant; Vegetarian; Vegan; Gluten-free; no Wheat or Dairy.
Remember the second B in Bed & Breakfast means breakfast and breakfast at the Gillum House is worth getting up for! The complimentary FULL breakfast (cook's choice) is served at the time you specify each morning (between the hours of 4:00 AM and 10 AM - please). Everything Kathleen serves is fresh-baked "from scratch" as she does not buy mixes. Egg dishes are heart-healthy as only a few yolks are used for color and with herbs from our herb garden as seasoning.

How fresh is our coffee? Choose your green coffee tonight. We will roast it for your fresh-ground coffee pleasure in the morning. Choose from coffees from Kenya, Bolivia, Guatemala, Zimbabwe, Peru, Puerto Rica, Panama, Hawaii, and more..
In-room or studio massage appointments, spa appointments, bicycle and helmet use can be arranged.
Off-street cement pad parking for motorcycles and nearby overnight stabling is available for horses traveling with their people.
