Elope to the 18th Century

West Virginia is a State where the marriage license can be issued the day of the wedding. Per the Harrison County Clerk’s Office, residents of West Virginia must get their Marriage License in the County they live in, but can be married anywhere in the State. Out-of-State residents do not have this restriction.

We Give Back - With YOUR Help!

Operation Second Chance collecting donations

Operation Second Chance collecting donations

Here is how YOU help!

In 2011, one of our Vets staying with our B & Bs For Vets was a wounded warrior. When I heard about High Ridge House Bed & Breakfast Inn in Putney, Vermont donating $25 for every 2-night stay for the Wounded Warrior Tough Mudder event, I remembered Eric. So I posted a Blog. Shortly thereafter (within an hour) without even knowing of my Blog, I had an e-mail from Eric’s wife about a fundraiser for Operation Second Chance – an organization that had helped them while Eric was at Walter Reed for almost 2 years!

Anyone who books the Gillum Room (room with private bath) for two or more nights AND puts “Wounded Warriors” or “Operation Second Chance” in the comments or mentions either on the phone - $25 will be donated to the organization mentioned.

This is an on-going Special. (November 9 - 11 exempted annually as it is free to the Vets booked)

Book your stay in the Gillum Room soon!

Hike the West Fork River Rail-Trail
